MAHLE and IZUMI: two players - one team
MAHLE is a conglomerate that has come a long way, almost a century-long journey, accompanied by many significant events both in world history and in the history of the company itself. MAHLE's success on the international market is phenomenal; the brand has become known in all parts of the world thanks to its constant innovative developments. The Japanese company IZUMI made a significant contribution to the development of MAHLE, which has now become a part of it.
IZUMI is the largest Japanese manufacturer of diesel pistons for commercial vehicles. MAHLE and IZUMI began their cooperation 45 years ago. Such a long and successful cooperation continued until MAHLE acquired IZUMI in 2013 – then two leading players in the automotive industry became one team. And in April of the same year, MAHLE changed its name to MAHLE Izumi Corporation. Now, with the help of IZUMI factories, MAHLE supplies a wide range of engine parts for automobiles.
Through these factories, MAHLE supplies a huge number of automakers, including: Isuzu, Hino, Komatsu, Mitsubishi FUSO, UD, Trucks, Kubota, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Mitsubishi Motors, Honda, Yanmar, Yamaha, Mazda, Subaru. As a result, the company provides engine parts under the IZUMI brand to practically all Japanese car manufacturers.
