Centaflex Elastic Couplings for Hitachi Construction Equipment
Aspect Plus offers a wide range of original Centaflex elastic couplings for Hitachi excavators, mini excavators and wheel loaders. Centaflex couplings provide reliable shaft connections in transmission systems of heavy construction equipment, compensating for radial, axial and angular misalignments between shafts.
Materials and Construction
Centaflex couplings are manufactured from high-quality elastomers - polyurethane or special rubber, which provide an optimal combination of flexibility and strength. Polyurethane elements are characterized by excellent resistance to wear, oils, fuels and lubricants, and aggressive environments. Metal flanges of the couplings are made of high-strength steel and undergo special heat treatment to increase reliability.
The Centaflex coupling design includes an elastic star-shaped element placed between two metal hubs. Some models are additionally equipped with torsional springs or gear engagement to improve damping properties and transmission of high torque.
Benefits of Using Centaflex Couplings
Due to their high elasticity and strength, Centaflex couplings effectively reduce vibration and shock loads, protect the transmission from overloads and extend the service life of Hitachi equipment. The elastic element of the coupling absorbs oscillations and compensates for shaft misalignment that occurs during equipment operation on uneven surfaces. This is especially important for excavators and loaders that operate under constant dynamic loads.
