Hitachi HMGF68 HMK160 — axial piston hydraulic motor 68 cm³
HMGF68 is a two-speed axial piston hydraulic travel motor of the HMGF series by Hitachi, structurally designed for heavy crawler excavators of the 40–50 tonne class. It combines a swash plate piston block with an integrated planetary gearbox; two-speed mode and a spring-applied parking brake ensure reliable movement in demanding operating conditions.
The HMGF68 series is represented by the modifications HMGF68EA, HMGF68LA and HMGF68PA, each adapted to a specific generation and configuration of the travel mechanism of Hitachi excavators.
HMK160 is the designation of the same motor as part of the final drive assembly with a travel gearbox. Both designations refer to the same unit: HMGF68 is the hydraulic motor marking, HMK160 is the marking of the complete final drive assembly. The motors are installed in Hitachi crawler excavators, material handlers and forwarders.
