Sauer-Danfoss Series 51V — hydraulic motors
Sauer-Danfoss Series 51V are variable-displacement bent axis axial piston hydraulic motors for closed-circuit hydraulic systems. The V suffix designates an SAE mounting flange (ISO 3019/1); the same series with a DIN flange is designated 51D, and the cartridge-mount version for direct installation in planetary drives is designated 51C. Spherical pistons and the bent axis design support pressures up to 510 bar and shaft speeds up to 5,600 rpm. The maximum-to-minimum displacement ratio is 5:1, enabling a wide range of speed and torque adjustment within a single gear range. Motors start at maximum displacement, delivering maximum starting torque and high acceleration. Proportional control, two-position control, and a pressure compensator option are all available.

Applications Series 51V
Sauer-Danfoss Series 51V hydraulic motors are used in crawler drive systems, wheel loader transmissions, grain and forage combines by John Deere, New Holland, Claas and Fendt, grape harvesters by Pellenc, telescopic handlers by Merlo, winches, crane slewing drives by Liebherr and Caterpillar, and industrial hydrostatic transmissions where high operating pressure, a wide control range, and reliable SAE flange mounting are required.
