HMGC16 is a single-speed axial piston travel motor of the HMGC series by Hitachi with a bent-axis cylinder block. Structurally designed for small class crawler excavators weighing 6–10 tonnes, where compactness and high power density are the priority. The integrated spring-applied parking brake ensures reliable machine retention on slopes.
HMT045 is the designation of the same motor as part of the final drive assembly with a planetary travel gearbox. Both designations refer to the same unit: HMGC16 is the hydraulic motor marking, HMT045 is the marking of the complete final drive assembly. The motor is installed in Hitachi crawler excavators.
