Hitachi HMK078 and HMGE23AA are swash plate axial piston hydraulic travel motors of the HMK and HMG series respectively. Each forms part of the final drive assembly of a crawler excavator, serving as the hydraulic component of a unit that also includes a planetary travel gearbox. The motor converts hydraulic flow into torque, which is transmitted through the planetary gearbox to the drive sprocket of the undercarriage. Installed in Hitachi crawler excavators, crushers and asphalt pavers.
