Komatsu HPD56 — axial piston hydraulic pump
The Komatsu HPD56 hydraulic pump is a variable displacement duplex axial piston pump developed in-house by Komatsu, belonging to the HPD series. It features a single shared cylinder block with one common inlet port and two independent outlet ports. During working operations both outlets are combined into a single circuit through a control valve, providing maximum flow; when the machine is travelling the outlets operate independently. It is the main hydraulic pump for Komatsu 12–14 tonne class excavators.
