Hitachi HPK055 — axial piston hydraulic pump 55 cm³
Hitachi HPK055 (HPKO55) is a dual axial piston hydraulic pump with an inclined cylinder block and variable displacement, serving as the main pump of the excavator hydraulic system. Two independent sections in a single housing with separate cylinder blocks, swash plates and valve plates simultaneously supply different circuits — working equipment and the travel mechanism. Flow regulation is achieved through a servo mechanism that changes the inclination angle of the cylinder block, allowing the flow rate to be adapted to the current load without power losses. The pump is installed on Hitachi Zaxis crawler excavators weighing 11–14 tonnes.
