Komatsu HPV112N — variable displacement axial piston hydraulic pump
The Komatsu HPV112N hydraulic pump is a variable displacement tandem axial piston pump developed in-house by Komatsu. It differs from the standard HPV series tandem pump by its short-stroke piston design, which significantly reduces the overall length of the pump unit. This engineering solution was developed specifically for narrow-body excavators (N-series), where reducing the width of the rear section was a primary design objective. In tandem configuration, each of the two sections has its own regulation circuit within the OLSS system. It is the main hydraulic pump of Komatsu excavators.
