Komatsu HPV160 — axial piston hydraulic pump
The Komatsu HPV160 hydraulic pump is a variable displacement axial piston pump developed in-house by Komatsu, belonging to the HPV series. In tandem configuration, each of the two pumps has its own regulation circuit, allowing the OLSS system to independently control flow to the working equipment and travel drive without power loss during simultaneous operation. An older displacement size in the series for the 30–40 tonne class — replaced by the HPV132 and HPV140 in newer equipment generations, but widely represented on -3 and -5 series machines.
