The Komatsu LMF16 KMF30 KMF31 ER569 swing motor is a fixed displacement axial piston motor developed in-house by Komatsu. It is mounted directly on the swing reduction gear and converts hydraulic flow into rotation of the upper structure. The design incorporates a built-in brake valve that holds the platform against unintended rotation under load.
