Sauer-Danfoss Series 45 GRR GRL — hydraulic pumps
Sauer-Danfoss Series 45 GRR GRL are variable-displacement axial piston hydraulic pumps for open-circuit hydraulic systems in the 74 and 90 cm³ displacements (Frame G). The RR suffix denotes right-hand rotation, GRL denotes left-hand rotation. Frame G differs from Frame F in its SAE-C mounting flange, SAE Code 61 / Code 62 flanged ports, an adjustable maximum displacement limiter with a 6.5 cm³ per turn adjustment step, and A-pad auxiliary mounting faces for attaching a secondary pump. Two control options are available: load sensing with pressure compensator (LS+PC) or pressure compensator only (PC). The pumps operate at continuous pressure up to 310 bar, peak pressure up to 400 bar, speed up to 3,600 rpm, and are rated for continuous service from –40 °C to +82 °C.

Advantages of the Sauer-Danfoss GRR GRL
- The SAE-C mounting flange provides a more robust interface than SAE-B and allows direct installation on heavy mobile and industrial chassis without adapters
- An adjustable maximum displacement limiter (6.5 cm³ per turn) allows the pump's peak flow to be mechanically capped at the machine without modifying the hydraulic circuit
- A-pad auxiliary mounting faces allow a secondary pump to be bolted directly to the housing without a separate bracket, reducing the number of connections and potential leak paths
- Tapered roller bearings at both the front and rear shaft ends handle combined radial and axial loads without additional support elements, delivering long service life under continuous duty

Sauer-Danfoss Series 45 GRR GRL hydraulic pumps are used in truck-mounted and boom cranes by Liebherr, Manitowoc and Fassi, telescopic handlers by Manitou and Merlo, wheel loaders by Volvo CE and Caterpillar, backhoe loaders by JCB, agricultural and forestry machinery by John Deere and CNH, pavers by Vögele and rollers by Hamm, fan drives, and industrial hydraulic power units where an SAE-C mounting interface and mechanical flow limiting are required.
