Sauer-Danfoss Series 45 HRR HRL — hydraulic pumps
Sauer-Danfoss Series 45 HRR HRL are variable-displacement axial piston hydraulic pumps for open-circuit hydraulic systems in the 57 and 75 cm³ displacements (Frame H). The RR suffix denotes right-hand rotation, HRL denotes left-hand rotation. The key distinction of Frame H from Frame G at the same displacement range is its SAE-B mounting flange instead of SAE-C, making the pump more compact and lighter and enabling a direct drop-in replacement for Frame F (74 / 90 cm³) in SAE-B mounting installations. The cylinder block rides on a bi-metal valve plate optimised for low noise and high volumetric efficiency. Tapered roller bearings support the input shaft, and a Viton lip seal protects against shaft leaks. An adjustable maximum displacement limiter and auxiliary mounting pads in SAE-A / SAE-B / SAE-C configurations are available for secondary pump attachment.

Advantages of the Series 45 HRR HRL
- The SAE-B mounting flange provides a compact and lightweight mounting solution for machines where SAE-B is the standard interface, with no adapters required
- A bi-metal valve plate with optimised geometry reduces operating noise and improves volumetric efficiency across a wide range of pressures and shaft speeds
- An adjustable maximum displacement limiter allows the pump's peak flow to be mechanically restricted at the machine without modifying the hydraulic circuit
- SAE-A / SAE-B / SAE-C auxiliary mounting pads allow a secondary pump to be bolted directly to the housing, forming a compact tandem unit without separate brackets

Sauer-Danfoss Series 45 HRR HRL hydraulic pumps are used in material handling equipment and forklifts by Manitou, Merlo and Haulotte, wheel loaders by Volvo CE and Caterpillar, municipal sweepers, fan drives, and agricultural and municipal machinery where an SAE-B mounting interface is specified and low pump assembly weight is important.
