Sauer-Danfoss Series 40 hydraulic motors MMF044 and MMV044 are axial piston units with a swashplate design for closed-circuit hydrostatic transmissions of medium power. The MMF044 is a fixed displacement hydraulic motor with a constant ratio between fluid flow and output shaft speed. The MMV044 is a variable displacement version that allows output speed and torque to be adjusted without changing pump flow. The M44 frame size provides greater displacement and torque compared to the M35 while maintaining the compact dimensions characteristic of the Series 40 swashplate design. The mechanical swashplate control of the MMV044 provides precise regulation across a wide load range, making this model suitable for drives with variable speed requirements — including fan drives and mobile machinery transmissions.
