Nabtesco TM40VD TM40VC — axial piston hydraulic travel motor
Nabtesco TM40VD / TM40VC are travel motors with planetary gearbox (travel device with planetary gearbox) from the TM series, combining an axial piston hydraulic motor, planetary gearbox and parking brake in a single housing. This configuration simplifies installation and reduces the number of connections in the travel system. The two-speed mode allows switching between traction and transport modes while moving. TM40VC and TM40VD are successive revisions within the same size class: TM40VC is installed on generation -5/-7 machines, TM40VD — on generation -9 machines and Volvo D/E series. Used as the travel drive on 20–25 tonne crawler excavators by Hyundai, Kobelco, Volvo, Doosan, as well as on Chinese machines XCMG and Sany.
