History and development of Vickers
The company was founded in 1919 in Michigan (USA) by Leroy Vickers. Initially, it manufactured components for automotive and military equipment. After World War I, Vickers Engineering Company actively developed technologies for both military and civilian applications.
During World War II, Vickers produced hydraulic systems for military and civil aviation. In 1946, the company began mass production of hydraulic pumps and motors. In 1999, Vickers became part of Eaton Corporation, strengthening its global market position and expanding its hydraulic product portfolio.
