Sauer-Danfoss 51V160 — hydraulic motor 160 cm³
The Sauer-Danfoss 51V160 hydraulic motor belongs to the Series 51 — closed-circuit axial piston motors with a bent-axis design and spherical pistons. The displacement control range covers a wide speed range without changing pump flow: the motor starts at full displacement with maximum torque and reduces displacement as speed increases. The 51V version is equipped with proportional control, allowing stepless displacement regulation in combination with a Series 90 pump or other closed-circuit pump. It is used in the hydrostatic transmission drive of forwarders and harvesters by Ponsse, Timberjack and Valmet, in the undercarriage drive of combine harvesters by Claas and New Holland, and in the hydrostatic drive of heavy soil compactors by Dynapac and Bomag.
